Leonardiano Museum
The Leonardian Museum, inaugurated in 1953 as the world’s first museum dedicated to Leonardo’s inventions, is now spread across two exhibition venues located close to each other in the heart of Vinci’s historic village.
The Palazzina Uzielli houses sections dedicated to construction machinery, textile manufacturing technology, mechanical clocks, and anatomical studies. The route ends with the new section, “Leonardo: Anatomy of Machines,” which focuses on the mechanical elements studied by Leonardo.
At the end of the visit, it is possible to reach the panoramic terrace (closed in case of bad weather, strong wind, and during weekdays from November to March) at the top of the castle tower to enjoy a breathtaking view over the hills of Montalbano and the Lower Valdarno.
