During the Christmas season, the village of Vinci transforms into an open-air museum thanks to the Presepi Geniali initiative, a widespread itinerary that brings the magic of Christmas to the streets, squares, and most evocative corners of Leonardo’s hometown.
Along the route, visitors can discover dozens of nativity scenes created by residents, artisans, associations, and shopkeepers: traditional displays, artistic crèches, luminous installations, mechanized scenes, and creations made from recycled materials. Each nativity scene tells its own story and reflects the imagination and ingenuity of its creator, turning the historic center into an exciting path to be enjoyed step by step.
As they stroll through Vinci, visitors can be surprised by curious details, unusual materials, and original interpretations of the Nativity. It is a route that delights children, fascinates adults, and invites everyone to rediscover the value of community and tradition.
Making the initiative even more engaging is the contest for the most beautiful nativity scene: each installation is numbered and can be voted for online through the dedicated page. Visitors are invited to choose their favorite creation, helping to celebrate the creativity and commitment of all participants.
